Flicker Box November 2015 Candle Subscription Box Review and Coupon Code

Flicker Box is a lot of fun. I love candles and getting a box of them every month encourages me to burn, burn, burn instead of jealously hoarding them. My home smells really great because of this.

I love the fact that Flicker Box sources from small business who usually have a presence on Etsy. It’s a good way to get quality candles without spending an arm and a leg (although you can do that, too). What you also get is some really wonderful, unique scents. That’s my favorite part!

The Cost: $34/month + $5.95 shipping

What You Get: A carefully curated box of all kinds of unique, handmade artisan candles with appropriately seasonal scents.
Mosley Lane Mason Jar in Brown Sugared Pineapple– This is a pretty big candle at 11oz and a 50+ hour burn time! It actually made my mouthwater when I unscrewed the lid. It smells like pure deliciousness. Definitely sugary maple but there’s tart pineapple and a whiff of ginger that keeps it from being too cloying. I can’t wait to start burning this. I really, really like Mosley Lane. Every candle I’ve received from them has been powerfully scented with great throw. I have one called Sleigh Ride that fills my entire house with Christmas. Luuuurve!
Value: $14.49

Soap for Your Soul Candle Tin in Wild Thing– This is an herbal fig scented 6oz candle with a 50 hour burn time. I think this is my least favorite scent. It’s very fruity and I prefer spicy.
Value: $7

Armadilla Waxworks Double Fragrance Pumpkin Latte– This is a 3×3 pillar with double fragrance and a 40-50 hour burn time. This is a soy/beeswax blend and though it’s doubly scented the cold throw isn’t much. Hopefully once I start burning, I’ll get a good whiff of pumpkin/coffee goodness!

Value: $12

VERDICT: I like to subscribe to Flicker Box at this time of year because the Fall and Winter seasons are home to some of my favorite scents. I haven’t been disappointed yet. Candle subscriptions don’t tend to have an insane value but this particular one comes in undervalue. I feel like that tends to happen some months and while I don’t like that, I have been introduced to some great candlemakers. So you have to factor that in when you subscribe. Currently I’m grandfathered in at the old price but even then I probably will unsubscribe for Spring and Summer months. I don’t like floral or “clean” scents really.

If you would like to sign up for Flicker Box, you can do that here. You can get your very first box for $25 plus 5.95 shipping with code FIRSTBOX. If you subscribe now, you’ll start with the December box which is sure to be fully of holiday scented goodness.
