Walmart Beauty Box Review Fall 2015 ~ The Old Lady Version

The Walmart Beauty Box is a quarterly subscription that costs only $5 a season! For $5, it’s a fun box to subscribe to and forget about until it shows up in your mailbox. It does tend to be more drugstore and sample-y. Meaning there will be foil packets but there can also be pretty awesome full size products, too. You just never know. It’s a total crapshoot, really.

There appears to regularly be at least two kinds of boxes. One for the old ladies over 35 and one for the younger ladies. I think the cut off is 35. So if you are getting the old lady box and you want the younger version, change your age in the profile. Or if you like getting skincare, make yourself older!

The Cost: $5/quarter

What You Get: Deluxe size products and foil samples with the occasional full size goodie.

Schick Hydro Silk Disposable Razor– I will always take a free razor! These things are expensive! I feel like they don’t last very long either, so new ones are a necessity. Although, moreso in the summer than the winter… 😀
Value: $6

Dove Advanced Care Deodorant– First, I love the mini deodorants and they’re the only kind I buy. I don’t go through them fast enough so the little ones are perfect. This one smells good and is supposed to last 48 hours.
Value: $1

Roc REtinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Serum– Ah, the perks of being old! Skincare with retinol! Gimme. This is expensive! I’ve never used Roc before but I love serums so I’ll have to try this. Although I have so many lined up already, it may take me awhile to get to it.
Value: $20

Curel Rough Skin Rescue– This is perfect for the upcoming dry, winter months. It gets great reviews on Amazon so this will go somewhere close to hand.
Value: $1

Nivea Extended Moisture for Dry to Very Dry Skin– I wonder if everyone got this kind or if they know I have dry skin. I’m too lazy to check and see if I answered a question about dry skin in my profile. I’m guessing no and everyone got this.

ACT Advanced Care Plaque Guard– Since my dentist just called to yell at me for skipping my dentist appointment and not rescheduling, I should probably use this every day between now and when I actually go in.

John Frieda 7Day Volume– I feel like I got this in the last box but it probably was in a different one. I don’t use a whole lot of hair products.

Crest 3D White 2-Step Program– Okay, so I just got this yesterday in a Fabfitfun box. I used it this morning. Let me just say that this stuff works. Immediately. You want white teeth? Use this stuff. One bout of brushing gave me whiter teeth. That might be better than my tray with the goo in it!

VERDICT: I really liked this box and it was definitely worth the $5 I paid for it. Everything is so… practical, too. Maybe kinda boring for some people but apparently I’m weird and like getting razors and deodorant in a box? Haha! Ah, well. The best things in a box are the ones you can use!

If you want to sign up for this box, you can do that right here. If you sign up now, they are still shipping this box so you can get it. Well, make sure to say you’re old and you’ll get it. Otherwise you get this one which is also quite good.
