Stick in a Box sends delicious jerky from all over the US to your door every month. You’ll get super tasty, unique and hard-to-find jerky in each box. Goal? Expanding your jerky-tastic horizons, of course.
Local Pastures Blaistix in Chipotle Adobo and Sweet Savory– These are 100% grassfed beef sticks. They’re called Blaistix because the owner of the company is named Blaise. It appears that all they do is sticks. I’m bummed because I didn’t try either one of these. My husband got to the box first and inhaled both of these before I even got a chance!

People’s Choice Tasting Kitchen Garlic Ginger– This was pretty yummy but I let my husband have most of it because I hoarded a different bag (and didn’t let him have any- I can be like that sometimes). People’s Choice has shown up in a few boxes and they have delicious jerky in interesting flavors.
A savory blend of ginger, garlic, and sesame give this jerky a lot of zip. The soy sauce highlights the meaty flavor and I love the sesame overall. This jerky has a soft and chewy, steak-like texture which I enjoy. If only the bag was bigger!

True Gentleman’s Jerky- Sinsa Korean Flavored BBQ– So I’m not quite sure what I think about the name of the variety. I don’t want BBQ that tastes like Koreans. :\ But I wouldn’t mine a Korean BBQ flavor. It’s made with Gluten Free Soy Sauce (Water, Soybeans, Rice, Salt), Brown Sugar, Liquid Smoke, Sesame Oil, Toasted Sesame Seeds, Korean Hot Pepper Powder, Fresh Green Onions/Ginger/Garlic. I don’t really like sweet jerky but DH doesn’t care and he liked this one a lot.
I like the cut style. Easy to eat and I think it helps it last a little longer than usual.

True Gentlemen’s Jerky Original Pepered– This is the bag that I made mine, all mine. I loved peppery jerky. It does have a hint of sweet from the brown sugar and agave nectar but for the most part the pepper, garlic and soy make this a tasty jerky overall. Plus, I like the cut and it’s not too fatty.
Value: $7
Fireside Original Smoked Beef Steak– Oh, now this was good, too. Actually, this was my favorite of the bunch. I loved the smoky flavor, the thick, chewy cut and my only complaint was that the bag was way too small. There was four pieces. And you’re looking at them. /sigh
I did share, though reluctantly.

VERDICT: We really like getting to taste test all the jerky included in these boxes. Some of these jerkies are really fantastic and we’ve ended up purchasing more directly from the company. The value for this particular box is around $26 which is far less than the $35 price point. I would have liked to see an additional bag of jerky, at the very least. I think if you are a jerky connoisseur, this might be a beneficial way for you to get your tastebuds wrapped around kinds you may not have discovered on your own.
You can get your first Stick in a Box for just $15 with coupon code BFF. That’s $20 off! I think it’s a great deal at $15 and highly recommend that you try it at least for a month. It’s a lot of fun.
