Tea is the perfect companion for a good book. I love reading with a huge mug of tea. It’s sort of like PB&J but it’s tea and a book. Last year I read 186 books with an average page count of 400. That means I drank a enough tea to fill a swimming pool. Probably. This year, I plan to hit the 200 mark thanks to the Goodreads challenge (find me on Goodreads). I say all this so you’ll know that tea a pretty big part of my life. Yes. I have an entire cupboard devoted entirely to tea of all kinds.

Coconut Macaroon Dessert Tea– Real bits of coconut and hints of almond add a fresh, invigorating flavor to the perfect blend of a rich black and earthy honeybush tea. This… is absolutely unreal. Every time I take a sip, I think it might be the best tea I’ve ever had. In my life. And that’s a lot of tea. It’s coconutty and almondy. The honeybush and the rooibos curl around the edges of those flavors and really brings them together. This is a low caffeine version and it does have a little black tea in it which keeps the flavors from being cloying and instead bolsters the nuttiness without that bite black tea can give.
I cannot stop loving this. I have to purchase more. Fifteen to twenty cups isn’t enough. I can tell already.

Portland Rose City Chai– Packed with Oregon rose petals, almond, spices, lemongrass, black tea, and hints blackberry. I tried this one first in the morning. It’s light and delicious, floral with a spicy fruitiness I really enjoyed. I don’t know that I would think to ever put these flavors together but they worked like magic.

Fresh Perspectives Green Tea– This tea is specially blended for Tea of the Month members! I think it has a perfect New Year’s name and the taste? Mmmm! Perfect also. Can Plum Deluxe do any wrong? No, I don’t think so. Whatever testing they do, they always pick perfect blends to send. Green tea isn’t my favorite but the cinnamon chips really give it an excellent flavor.
Ingredients: Fujian Green Tea, Apricot pieces, Cinnamon Chips, Calendula, Vanilla Essence.
Value: $7
VERDICT: I am so pleased with my Plum Deluxe selections that I had to head to their shop and buy more. This is the best problem to have! I love finding wonderful things and as a tea lover, finding a new, delicious tea is like discovering a new author who has at least ten books. Meaning, it’s pretty fantastic. I drink tea every day and find I tend to stick to blends so a Plum Deluxe subscription is the best thing ever! Plus I have about 500 books on my TBR on Goodreads and I need tea for every one!
The fact that these are all organic, pesticide free, non-GMO with no synthetic chemicals means these are high quality, flavorful and carefree teas. Enjoy without worry!
If you’d like to subscribe to Plum Deluxe, you can do that here. Keep in mind you’ll be signing up for a 3 month subscription. It’s a set price per month but it’s charged quarterly. Mention “bits and boxes” in the How Did You Hear About Us box and you’ll get a free blend added to your first month! How awesome is that?!
If you’re not sure you want to commit, check out their shop. I suggest the Coconut Macaron Dessert Tea, of course, but they have several awesome ones. Before you check out, at the bottom of the page, notice that there’s an option to have a mystery Blender’s Choice tea added to your cart for $5.
What do you think of a tea subscription? Is it the ultimate tea adventure?
