I’ve been getting the Love with Food Deluxe boxes lately because Groupon has had a rockin’ deal running for ages. I’ve bought this same deal three times (is that bad?) and used two of them so far. In July, I’ll use my last one (unless I cave and buy another one). Needless to say, I’m sort of addicted to Love with Food.
Sure, they send healthy snacks. Just because they’re healthy doesn’t mean they can’t be tasty. Plus, my husband really likes eating all the things that are too… obviously healthy… for me. I’m a fan of junk food.
The Cost: This is the Deluxe Box which is $19.95/month but they also have the regular Tasting Box which is $12/month.
What You Get: 16-20 new snacks each month. Snacks are either organic or all-natural, GMO-free, gluten-free or free of artificial junk. (The regular Tasting Box has 8+ snacks)
Liz Lovely Chocolate Mousse Dragon– This is a vegan, dairy free and gluten-free chocolate cookie. Yes, it has real chocolate, thankfully. Not those carob nibs. However, it has lots of chocolate chunks in it. I mean, yeah, it is fudgey and soft but those chocolate chunks ruin it. In my opinion. But I also hate chocolate chips in my brownies, too. And this cookie is kind of like a brownie.
Back to Nature Mini Chocolate Chunk Cookies– These are really good. Really good! But sadly I set them on the side table while I went to get my tea and my horrible, no-good, very bad dog decided he thought they were really good, too. So… yeah.
Walkers Shortbread– I’ve never really liked shortbread this hard. I like it melt in your mouth crumbly. But Walkers has a place in my heart since it’s my husbands first name.
Popcorners Kettle Popped Corn Chips in Kettle and White Cheddar– My husband loves these so I always give them to him when they pop up in a snack box. (oooo… no pun intended). I don’t really care for the texture but he enjoys them.
Vintage Italia Garlic Olive Oil Chips– There were two bags of these and it’s a good thing because I didn’t want to share my bag with Walker. These are deeeelicious. Mostly because they are crazy garlic. Don’t eat these on a plane. 😀
Lemon Zest Mini Luna Bar– My soy intolerance makes me sad when I see names like Lemon Zest in protein bars. It sounds like I would love it but sadly I have to refrain.
YumEarth Sour Beans– These are actually quite delicious. I’ve had their jelly beans, too, and I think those are even better. These taste pretty fruity and I like that.
Mighty Leaf Tea– I like Mighty Leaf and I like tea so I always love getting tea in my boxes. It always get good use. Plus I just got a new book in my Uppercasebox. Tea and reading is like… a match made in heaven.
Ziyad Wild Garden Hummus Snack Pack– This is a nice snack! It’s got a bag of quinoa chips and a squeezy tube of regular hummus. I’m a little bit leery of quinoa chips but I’ll try them.
There is also a star shaped Love with Food magnet that I totally put on my refrigerator because why not… 😀
VERDICT: This actually was not my favorite Love with Food box. Shockingly. Actually, part of that is probably because I’m still mad the dog ate my cookies. /sigh. The Garlic chips were the best and the Sour Beans.
